As a Airport Traffic Control Officer in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard the airport, its facilities, travelers, directing and managing flow of traffic, enforcing security protocals and procedures helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff. Requirements

• 20+ Years of Age
• Valid Drivers License
• Ability to use computers - basic computer knowledge
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, and airport personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations through required communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, restricted access points, parking locations, and perimeter areas as assigned.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials, directing foot traffic, and observing activity within the government location.
• Support daily operations by documenting incidents, assisting with crowd management, and coordinating with airport staff and/or public sector personnel when needed.
