As a Security Officer Unarmed Route Patrol in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support tenants, guests, and staff through strong communication and customer service while bringing integrity, reliability, and teamwork to every shift in a people-first culture.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Meet licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations prior to employment.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license (for driving positions only, implied for Route Patrol).

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related practices, and/or emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents, maintenance concerns, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and reporting security-related matters according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout building interiors, common areas, parking areas, and/or perimeter locations to help identify and report suspicious activity, property issues, and/or unauthorized access.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas while supporting lobby, visitor, and/or contractor screening practices in line with property policies.
  • Communicate with property management, tenants, and/or first responders as needed regarding alarms, disturbances, medical events, and/or other security-related concerns.
