About The Position
As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Specialist in Sunnyvale, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, common areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, help to enforce location rules and closing procedures, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Support loss prevention awareness by observing customer and employee activity, assisting with de-escalation when needed, and completing detailed incident and activity reports.
