As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Customer Assistance in Glendale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting an educational location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication to students, staff, and visitors while supporting a welcoming environment. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and school community members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, student-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, directing individuals to appropriate school offices or authorized locations.
• Document observations, incidents, and unusual activity accurately and communicate relevant information to school representatives and Allied Universal leadership.
