Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and school community members by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond to incidents, student-related concerns, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, support established sign-in procedures, and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Maintain accurate activity, incident, and patrol documentation while communicating professionally with school administrators, staff, and responding public-service agencies as needed.
