As a Security Officer Unarmed Badge Patrol in Tacoma, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, support access awareness, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. In this role, you will help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence while working with a team that values being agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and acting with integrity.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and/or emergency response support at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas, assisting visitors, staff, and/or contractors with directions, screening processes, and general post instructions.
  • Support day-to-day operations by maintaining a visible presence, following post orders, and communicating clearly with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts regarding incidents and/or unusual activity.
