As a Airport Security Officer in Honolulu, HI, you will safeguard the airport, staff, and it's facilities. Along with driving, patrolling, checking, and securing doors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication to all visitors and staff. Requirements

• Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
• 1+ years of security experience
• 21+ years of age
• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting activity and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public access areas, parking locations, and perimeter points to help identify unusual activity and/or potential policy violations.
• Monitor access points, observe pedestrian and vehicle traffic, and report suspicious behavior, unattended items, and/or unauthorized access attempts in accordance with site protocols.
• Support security-related operations at a government location by providing directions, assisting with crowd management, and following post orders during routine activities and/or elevated response situations.
• Safeguard the airport, staff, and its facilities.
• Drive, patrol, check, and secure doors.
