Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, control vehicle and pedestrian access, and report suspicious, unauthorized, and/or unusual activity to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and completing required security-related reports with clear and timely details.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, gate areas, parking locations, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized access and support daily site operations.
  • Communicate with site personnel regarding deliveries, arrivals, restricted areas, and/or operational changes, helping to maintain organized traffic flow and compliance with established post instructions.
