As a Security Officer TWIC Entry Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, helping to monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, monitoring entry and exit activity, and supporting security-related protocols at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through proper channels and assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor gates, checkpoints, badge readers, visitor logs, deliveries, and restricted areas to help control site access and help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unusual conditions, access control issues, and security-related concerns, and reporting findings promptly.
  • Communicate with employees, contractors, visitors, and/or site contacts regarding entry requirements, site rules, and incident-related information while maintaining detailed and accurate activity records.
