Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support badge access activities while providing outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post. In this role, you will help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence, strong attention to detail, and a people-first approach grounded in teamwork, reliability, agility, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge verification, visitor processing, and other security-related policies at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, check credentials, maintain visitor and delivery logs, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas through consistent screening and reporting practices.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting emergency response activities and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including access points, parking areas, and exterior locations, while observing and reporting unusual activity and/or potential hazards.
  • Document daily activities, access control events, and incident details in required logs and reports, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site personnel as needed.
