Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, helping to monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support a professional, visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor and document the entry and exit of employees, visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries, verifying credentials and directing individuals according to site access requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating relevant details to site contacts and/or emergency personnel when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or potential security-related concerns.
  • Support vehicle and material screening activities at designated access points, completing required logs, reports, and other site-specific documentation.
