As a Security Officer - Technology Campus Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. At a leading tech and telecommunications location, Allied Universal Security Officers monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help reduce security-related concerns. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and applicable emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors or site contacts as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, lobbies, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and other security-related concerns.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials or visitor authorizations when required, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
Support workplace operations by providing directions, assisting with routine inquiries, and helping to maintain awareness of security-related procedures and site expectations.
