About The Position

As a Security Officer - Site Access Specialist in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor entry activity, verify credentials, and help support a professional, welcoming environment. You may conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related concerns, and deliver strong customer service and communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A state, county, and/or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, credential verification steps, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or visitor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access within a dynamic technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related events and communicating relevant information to site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including lobbies, parking areas, and other assigned spaces, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
