About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Specialist in Spokane, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. In this role, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access to buildings, yards, trailer areas, and other restricted parts of the location.
  • Screen visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel, maintain required logs and reports, and communicate security-related concerns, incidents, and/or unusual activity to the appropriate contacts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with traffic flow, gate activity, and security-related support during high-volume operational periods.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including parking areas, loading docks, and access roads, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
