About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Specialist in Pontiac, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. At a dynamic tech and telecommunications location, Allied Universal team members help manage access points, verify credentials, monitor assigned areas, and conduct routine patrols to help reduce security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge verification, and other security-related policies.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help control authorized access and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or unauthorized entry attempts.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Document visitor arrivals, deliveries, and/or contractor access, maintaining accurate logs and communicating relevant updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing conditions that may impact access control operations in a dynamic technology-focused environment.
