About The Position

As a Security Officer - Site Access in Savannah, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and when appropriate, emergency response actions at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, unusual conditions, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout operational areas, buildings, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and support vehicle and pedestrian screening processes in accordance with location requirements.
  • Communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or public responders during routine operations and elevated situations, while preparing clear, accurate reports of daily activities and incidents.
