As a Security Officer Secure Entry in West Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

  • Possess 2 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21 or more years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, which is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge verification, visitor processing, and other security-related policies.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor logs, and help to deter unauthorized access within a fast-paced technology location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site protocol and documenting security-related activity.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, checking doors, gates, and other access points while remaining attentive to varying site conditions.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, provide clear directions during access-related disruptions, and communicate professionally with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
