As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech and telecommunications location, you will help monitor entry activity, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and document visitor and/or vendor arrivals to help support authorized access throughout the location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through proper communication channels when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, lobby areas, and perimeter, noting unusual activity and reporting security-related concerns according to site policies.
  • Assist with badge and/or credential control, maintain accurate access records, and support security-related screening processes for employees, guests, and deliveries.
