About The Position

As a Security Officer Screening Technology Operator in North Andover, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help create a welcoming, professional environment by screening visitors and belongings, monitoring access points, and supporting site protocols. You will remain visible, communicate clearly with employees and guests, and help deter security-related incidents through attentive service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and deliveries in accordance with established access-control procedures; verify credentials and direct individuals to appropriate entry points.
  • Operate screening equipment and complete required inspections while maintaining a professional, respectful, and customer-focused presence.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entrances, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter; document security-related activities and report unusual conditions.
