About The Position

As a Security Officer - Enhanced Screening Officer in Boise, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener at a dynamic technology location, you will help manage access by verifying badges, screening visitors and employees, and communicating site procedures with professionalism. You will maintain a visible presence, help identify and report security-related concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access screening requirements, and emergency response activities at a technology location.
• Screen individuals and belongings entering designated areas using approved procedures and equipment, escalating prohibited or suspicious items in accordance with site policies.
• Verify identification, access authorization, visitor credentials, and delivery documentation before permitting entry to controlled areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry points, business areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and report security-related concerns.
