About The Position

As a Security Officer Screening Specialist in North Andover, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help support a secure environment by conducting screening activities, monitoring access points, and assisting visitors and employees with professionalism. You will use computer or tablet tools, communicate clearly, and help identify potential security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
  • Screen visitors, packages, deliveries, and/or other incoming items in accordance with site requirements; verify credentials and direct individuals to appropriate access points.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, maintain accurate logs and records, and report irregularities or policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, access points, and the surrounding business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
