About The Position

As a Security Officer Screening Inspection in Ontario, California, you will serve and safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution location. This driving post supports security-related operations by screening personnel, visitors, and materials; monitoring access points; and reporting unusual activity. You will provide customer service and clear communication while helping maintain an orderly environment. The role requires a valid driver’s license. This is a part-time position scheduled Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. The pay rate is $21.89 per hour.

Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience.
Valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific security procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
Screen individuals, packages, shipments, and personal items according to established procedures using assigned screening equipment, and document prohibited or unauthorized items when applicable.
Verify identification, credentials, and authorization for entry into restricted operational areas, and direct visitors and vendors to appropriate check-in locations.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency services as directed by established procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security concerns.
