As a Security Officer Screening Agent in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As a Screener at a shelter location, you will help support a welcoming environment by screening entrants, monitoring activity, and responding to security-related concerns with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • Have at least 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • A CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Screen individuals entering the location in accordance with site procedures, which may include verifying identification, checking permitted items, and/or directing guests to the appropriate area.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details to site leadership and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Monitor entrances, common areas, and/or assigned posts to help support orderly operations and help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited activity.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
