As a Security Officer Armed Screening Agent in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Screener in a government location, you will help monitor access points, screen visitors and/or personnel, and support daily operations through a visible, professional presence. This armed post offers the opportunity to use strong communication and attention to detail while delivering customer service and supporting security-related protocols. Requirements

  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Possess a college degree.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a corrections officer license.
  • Possess a DD214 with honorable discharge OR an associate degree or 60 college credits OR a police academy certificate OR a corrections academy certificate.
  • Possess a law enforcement officer license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, screening activities, and/or emergency response support appropriate to the location.
  • Screen visitors, staff, and/or personal belongings in accordance with site protocols and applicable access control procedures for a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, prohibited item concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details.
  • Monitor entry points, verify credentials, and report suspicious, unusual, and/or unauthorized activity to appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, with duties and working conditions that may vary by assignment.
