As a Security Officer Screener in Stratford, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor site access, screen people and/or items, and support daily operations through visible presence and professional communication. This role offers the chance to contribute to a caring, reliable team culture while using integrity, agility, and innovation to help reduce security-related incidents and deliver outstanding customer service.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and/or vehicles entering or exiting the location in accordance with post orders and site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observed conditions to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Monitor entry points, shipping and receiving areas, and high-traffic zones to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting unusual activity, damaged barriers, and/or operational concerns within the location.
