As a Security Officer - Screener in Boise, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic technology location, you will help monitor access points, screen visitors and team members, and support security-related operations through strong communication and customer service. This role offers the chance to stay visible, assist with badge and access activities, and contribute to a people-first team that values agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Screen individuals entering designated areas by verifying credentials, reviewing access authorizations, and reporting irregularities in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Monitor entry points and controlled areas to help to deter unauthorized access, support orderly movement, and/or follow site protocols for deliveries, visitors, and contractors.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting unusual activity, documenting observations, and/or reporting maintenance or access concerns according to post instructions.
