Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities across an educational location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details to supervisors and/or campus contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of campus grounds, academic buildings, common areas, parking areas, and/or exterior access points.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Support students, staff, visitors, and/or faculty with directions, access-related questions, and other routine assistance while maintaining awareness of surroundings.
