About The Position

As a Security Officer Roving Patrol in Arcadia, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, trailer yards, loading and unloading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor entry and exit points for personnel, visitors, and delivery traffic, verifying credentials, following post orders, and communicating access issues in accordance with site procedures.
Support day-to-day operations by observing package handling areas, watching for unsecured doors and/or gates, and reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to the appropriate contact.
