About The Position

As a Security Officer Retail Patrol Driver at a retail mall in Stamford, Connecticut, you will serve and safeguard clients while helping maintain a welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, visitors, and staff. This is an unarmed, driving position requiring a valid driver’s license. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible security presence, provide customer service, and respond to incidents in accordance with site procedures. The role is full-time and pays $18.94 per hour. Scheduled shifts are Monday and Tuesday, 10:00 AM–6:00 PM, and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and mall personnel by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail common areas, parking facilities, exterior perimeters, and other assigned locations.
Monitor access points and activity at the retail location; report suspicious behavior, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events, notifying appropriate personnel or emergency responders as needed.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities.
Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, retailers, and Allied Universal leadership.
