About The Position

As a Security Officer Reception Ambassador in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy healthcare location as a Front Desk professional, greeting visitors, managing access, monitoring activity, and helping to support a secure and welcoming environment. In this customer-facing role, you will use strong communication and professionalism to handle security-related concerns while reflecting our values of being agile, reliable, innovative, and people first through teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Monitor access to the lobby and reception area, greet visitors, verify identification and/or appointments, and document arrivals in accordance with site guidelines.
  • Answer questions, direct employees, visitors, and vendors to the appropriate destination, and report unusual activity or concerns to site contacts in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations from the front desk in a calm, professional manner, and support communication with staff and/or first responders as needed.
  • Maintain front desk logs, visitor records, and other required documentation related to security-related operations and daily site activity.
