Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out site-specific procedures, visitor screening processes, badge access activities, and/or emergency response support appropriate to the location.
  • Monitor lobby and reception activity, greet employees, patients, visitors, and vendors, and communicate clearly with staff regarding entry procedures and security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and reporting unusual activity to the appropriate personnel.
  • Answer phones, manage visitor logs, verify identification, issue temporary credentials, and help to support access control procedures for a healthcare location.
  • Observe front entrance and reception areas for suspicious, disruptive, and/or unauthorized activity, and help to deter issues through visible presence and professional interaction.
