About The Position

As a Security Officer Reception Desk in North Charleston, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience are preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, visitor reception duties, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor lobby and front desk activity, verify visitor and contractor access, issue credentials, and maintain arrival logs in accordance with location protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, questions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with building contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Support a professional front desk presence by answering phones, directing guests, managing deliveries, and reporting unusual activity or security-related concerns.
