About The Position

As a Security Officer Radio Dispatch in Seattle, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Dispatch Officer supporting a government transportation location, you will coordinate communications, monitor activity, document incidents, and dispatch resources to support timely responses to security-related needs. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to transit employees, passengers, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor dispatch communications, alarms, cameras, and other systems; receive and document calls for service; and coordinate the response of field personnel and emergency services as needed.
  • Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating information to appropriate personnel according to established procedures.
  • Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident reports, and activity records, communicating relevant information to supervisors and field staff in a timely manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter locations as assigned; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
