As an Access Control Officer at a residential location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity and alarm panels, and support residents and visitors with professional service. You will use computer or tablet systems, maintain clear communication, and help create a welcoming, orderly environment. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorization for access, and maintain visitor and vehicle entry records in accordance with residential community procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Report access-control issues, unusual activity, and maintenance-related concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
