As a Corrections Security Officer - Property Access in Charleston, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess 1+ years of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of security supervisor/manager experience or 3+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to facility personnel, visitors, and authorized individuals by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access points, verify authorization for entry, and document visitor activity in accordance with facility procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
  • Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and daily logs while communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
