About The Position

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a commercial real estate location in Hackettstown, New Jersey, you will serve and safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, supporting access control activities, and responding to alarms and security-related concerns. You will provide customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s culture of integrity and teamwork. The role is full-time and pays $17.84 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. State or local licensing may be required before employment. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property personnel by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate personnel according to site procedures.
Monitor property access, verify visitor and contractor authorization as required, and help maintain orderly entry and exit procedures.
Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications in accordance with company and site requirements.
