As a Security Officer Patrol Support in Palo Alto, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Officer at a premier retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming customer experience. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a retail location.
  • Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating clearly with store personnel, visitors, and management.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, stockroom areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points, observe customer and employee traffic, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance issues according to site protocols.
  • Document incidents, complete required activity reports, and support loss prevention and other security-related operations as directed at the location.
