About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Access Support in Springfield, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout loading areas, parking lots, trailer yards, warehouse spaces, and perimeter points to help identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and vehicle traffic, verifying authorized access for visitors, vendors, and/or deliveries while following post orders and client-facing service expectations.
• Support daily operations by observing site activity, reporting maintenance or security-related issues, and assisting with orderly response during weather events, medical incidents, and/or operational disruptions.
