Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter checkpoints, noting conditions that could impact operations.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas such as offices, equipment spaces, and other controlled locations.
  • Support daily operations by following post orders, communicating with team members and site personnel, and completing required logs, reports, and other security-related documentation.
