As a Security Officer Patrol Specialist in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• This is primarily a driving post.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related concerns in a professional manner.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to supervisors and/or local contacts as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including production areas, parking areas, exterior perimeters, and other assigned spaces, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity at designated access points and verify credentials, visitor information, and/or delivery details in accordance with site procedures.
• Document daily activities, patrol findings, and incident details in written reports, and report maintenance issues, hazards, and/or policy concerns to the appropriate personnel.
