About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Specialist in Saint Paul Park, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • This is primarily a driving post.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command and completing required documentation.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout operational areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or policy concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor access as required, and report suspicious behavior, damaged equipment, or restricted area concerns to site leadership.
  • Support site operations by observing compliance with location rules, communicating professionally with staff and visitors, and preparing clear, accurate incident and activity reports.
