As a Security Officer Patrol Presence Specialist in Bethesda, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. Join Allied Universal at a premier hotel and resort location, where our Security Officers monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a hotel or resort setting.
  • Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, while documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, guest-facing areas, corridors, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter, noting unusual activity and/or maintenance-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points, entrances, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and support a professional, welcoming atmosphere for guests and visitors.
  • Support daily operations by assisting with incident reporting, answering questions, and relaying information to management and/or local responders when appropriate.
