Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and contacting appropriate personnel when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or conditions that may need attention.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, hallways, parking areas, and other assigned locations to help support authorized access, observe activity, and report concerns according to site protocols.
  • Document incidents, observations, and/or daily activities in required reports, and communicate relevant information to supervisors, client representatives, and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
