As a Security Officer Experienced Patrol Specialist in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. At a healthcare location, Allied Universal Officers monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support staff, residents, and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare and housing environment.
  • Respond to incidents, behavioral health situations, and critical events in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, following site protocols and reporting requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity within the location, documenting incidents and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Support a respectful and welcoming atmosphere by assisting with directions, answering general questions, and reporting maintenance, access, and/or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
