About The Position

As a full-time Security Officer Patrol Driver in Waterloo, Iowa, you will serve and safeguard clients at a manufacturing and industrial location. This is an unarmed driving patrol role involving routine vehicle and foot patrols, a visible security presence, and support for a welcoming environment. You will communicate security-related concerns and assist visitors and employees while following site-specific procedures and policies.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations, escalating information according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of manufacturing areas, offices, parking areas, shipping and receiving locations, and the facility perimeter.
Monitor access points and verify visitor and contractor authorization.
Maintain accurate logs and reports of security-related activities and incidents.
Observe and report hazards, unusual conditions, and equipment or property concerns to appropriate site contacts.
