Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government housing location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support residents and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, maintenance concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations in accordance with site expectations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.
  • Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or unusual conditions to the appropriate contacts.
  • Support a professional presence at the location by assisting with directions, answering general questions, and communicating clearly with residents, guests, and/or local public service personnel.
