Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations in accordance with post instructions.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
  • Support daily operations by following Allied Universal post orders, communicating clearly with site personnel and/or the public, and assisting with security-related requests as directed.
