Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government transit location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support riders, visitors, and staff with strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access guidance, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, parking areas, platforms, buildings, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, public areas, and/or restricted locations to help support authorized access, direct foot traffic, and communicate with local contacts regarding security-related matters.
  • Assist with handling customer inquiries, de-escalating tense interactions, and supporting crowd management during service interruptions, special events, and/or high-traffic periods.
