Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and other stakeholders by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a public transportation and port-related location.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, terminals, parking areas, roadways, waterfront-adjacent areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report access-control concerns according to site procedures.
Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations and actions taken.
Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports, communicate professionally with public agencies and site personnel, and follow all applicable post orders and Allied Universal procedures.
