About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Ambassador in Akron, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report suspicious activity and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials where required, and communicate with site contacts regarding security-related matters and/or operational issues.
• Support emergency and weather-related responses by following post orders, assisting with controlled access, and documenting incidents in a clear and timely manner.
